This data protection statement outlines the policy of ATGI concerning personal data.

We have created this data protection statement as the controller of personal data for visitors to this website. This statement aims to inform people dealing with us about the information we collect and process in connection with such interaction.

  • We do not cross reference the log with the enquiry, but we reserve the right to do so should we be concerned about the security of our operations.

This helps our marketing team gauge the popularity of material we would refer to.

Log files are kept for a maximum of 6 months.

We use encryption at rest.

Our servers are located in ISO 27001 accredited data-centres in Ireland.

Sharing of personal data

The information you supply for a tour request will be shared with the relevant guides. For maintenance purposes, it may be accessed by our website hosting provider if required.

Lawful (legal) basis

Legitimate interest to protect the security of our operations. The data is minimised and the data is held securely.

When you renew your membership from this website (members' area)

Personal data processed

We collect

  • your name, email address and contact details so we can contact you;
  • comments supplied in the form. so our team can easily refer to your query;
  • the time of the membership renewal, so we can measure our response time dealing with your enquiry if required;
  • The amount and type of membership.

For bookings (members' area):

  • the data and time of the event you booked
  • the attendee's name
  • The event and amount paid when relevant.

Retention period

We will retain your personal data to fulfill our contractual obligation with you and to meet our legal requirements (7 years from date of purchase).

Sharing of personal data

Personal data will be used by our staff to handle the purchase. It may be accessed by our CRM application provider on our request to assist a technical issue.

Our accountant will have access to the invoices with your name and address. In case of a Revenue audit, the Revenue may access the invoices with your name and address.

If you pay by debit or credit card, we will pass the order number and the amount to Stripe. Stripe will require your card details to validate the payment. If you do not wish to transfer some data to Stripe, please contact us for payment by bank transfer.

Your rights

You have the following rights under data protection law:
